Review by Lisa Sherlock for Grobag Jelly Bean Baby Sleeping Bag 1.0 Tog, 0-6 Months

Initially, I used the Halo sleep bags. However, these did not work for my little boy. He always seemed to be cold. I also had problems with the zippers opening/failing during the night.
The offending sleep sacs had only been in use for a very short time (maybe a month) before this happened and they hadn’t been excessively washed. Caused me concern from a safety standpoint. The company replaced it, but I decided to switch to another brand for peace of mind.
I have used Grobags since our baby was about 3 months old. He is 28 months old now. I had to purchase mine from the UK, as Amazon didn’t stock them back then.
I have probably had at least 10+ of these in different sizes, togs and styles and I love them. So does my little boy! He won’t sleep without his Grobag sleepsac, as he likes being all snuggled up.
The Grobags come with guidelines on room temperatures for the 3 different tog ratings available. So you can be confident that your child will be comfortable. Which means that you will be able to sleep with worrying! For anyone who hasn’t come across this before, a Tog is the European rating for the warmth value of bedding.
The travel Grobag is a very good investment if you ever have to transfer a sleeping baby from a crib to the car or visa versa. As you don’t have to disturb them if you plan ahead.
There are three togs available
0.5 tog (for very warm/hot nurseries)
1.0 tog (summer tog)
2.5 tog (colder nurseries/winter tog)
They wash really well and can be put in the dryer. Haven’t had any probmes with the zippers or poppers at all..
Depending on the baby’s age they have different opening methods… Some have side zips and others have zips down the front. Combinations of zips and poppers tend to be used for the older babies from approx 6 months on. I think this is mainly to prevent the older babies from being able to open them as they figure things out for themselves.
In my opinion the side opening Grobags tend to work the best, as you can do diaper changes in the night without having to disturb them too much.
My little boy is smaller than most kids his age, so he is still in the 6-18 months Grobags. Sounds a bit nuts, but it gives you some idea of the growing room in these Grobags. They look huge when they move up a size.
Yes, they are more pricey than some, but you get what you pay for. I only wish Amazon stocked more sizes and togs…. That way I wouldn’t have to order from the UK.
Hope this helps.

… the zipper runs along the side and bottom, not in front like some other brands, which allows me to easily change my son’s diaper in the middle of the night with zero disturbance! it also has snaps over the shoulders which makes it so much easier to get him in, instead of having to slip his arms through holes.

This is a wonderful product for your newborn/infant. I recently found the 0-6 month size for 50% off on a bargain site, and decided to try it out. I was having trouble getting my son to sleep anywhere but in his bouncy chair. This sleep sack helped so tremendously, and he is sleeping through the night fairly regularly. He will sleep most anywhere now when he is in his sack. We are so thankful for the sleep that we paid full price for the next size up, and he loves it just as much. This is definitely going to be one of my new shower gifts.

First of all, it’s really cute, and no way my 10 mo old son can wiggle out of it. I’m not used to the side zipper, but other then that, I love it! Perfect weight for cooler summer nights! And, it’s nice and long and will fit for a long time!

We own 5 different Gro bags, and our son has been using them since he was 6 months. They are a wonderful invention. Easy to put on, wash, and nice looking. I personally prefer the version with the zipper on the side.

My son is 6 months old and he got this set for Christmas. He loves the baby Einstein videos and is just getting the hang of teethers and such. The links are the greatest EVER. They had the parts that he can gum away on. All in all a nice set with toys you can purchase alone (and toys you can’t). It comes in the nice gift box so if you purchase as a gift you don’t have to worry about gift wrapping. LOL.

I received this gift set as a baby shower gift with my first son, and he loved it so much that we have begun giving this set to all our friends at baby showers. The set includes a set of 4 soft blocks that have interactive sides on them, my son loved the green frog one best that ribbits. The teething toys were a lifesaver and we kept some in the fridge at all times for those ouchy days. The bird is easy to hang from a playmat or just to chew on and the linkadoos are just fun to hold or chew or attach other toys. Everything in the gift set has been loved and is now being used with my second son. All practical toys to have from birth on up, a perfect set for new parents.

I’ve sent this as a gift to several friends and I think they’ve all been very happy with it.
There’s enough in the box to be festive and share with a sibling but it’s appropriate price wise.

This set included an assortment of toys that a baby could use from birth up to a year and was excellent value. I had intended to use this as a gift but it was so good I kept it for my own baby. As a new mum I had no idea what toys to buy a new baby, but this pack did the job and helped me out!
