I bought this for a recent family vacation to LA, and this was a godsend. The car seat we use is very large (Britax-Marathon), and I was skeptical that I could find something to fit it. What I wanted to avoid, was the plastic bag solution – which always left my seat looking like it took a beating.
This cover did the trick – and performed well when using it to check my car seat. Here are some pro’s and con’s.
Pros:
- Will fit most large car seats (smaller ones too!)
- Makes traveling with a large seat easier as you can wheel the seat around rather than carry it.
- Protects seat from scuffs and damage while flying.
- Usually has enough room to throw a few extra things in with the seat.
Cons:
- Does not really wheel like luggage, and sometimes will feel like you are just dragging it along.
- The material seems fairly thin – I don’t know how many trips this will hold up.
Even with the cons – I am happy with this purchase. It did what I wanted it to – and made my trip a little easier.

My Britax Blvd car seat fit so easily inside the bag, I was so excited to finally have found a bag with wheels that was not a struggle to put the car seat into. The very first, and only time, I used the bag the entire metal bottom part fell off from the bag when I handed it over to be check as luggage. I would not have believed it, if I had not seen it literally fall apart before my very eyes. The only other things I had inside the bag with the car seat were our coats, so weight was not the issue.
This was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on a car seat bag. Maybe the bag I got was just defective, I don’t know. Once I got to my finally destination, I had to drag the carseat bag across the floor with my suitcase and it ruined the bottom of the bag further, as the metal bars with wheels were no longer there.

I definitely recommend getting a bag like this for your car seat. It isn’t perfect (it doesn’t roll as smoothly as you’re used to from rolling suitcases) but it is SO much better than dragging a car seat through the airport. My Britax Roundabout fits perfectly with tons of extra space (great for stashing a whole family’s winter coats). We flew to Florida and our gate-checked items sat outside in a rainstorm for at least 20 minutes and the car seat was perfectly dry when we got it out of hte bag. Definitely a must-have!

I was worried about the quality of this bag after reading some other reviews, but ordered it anyway and I am so glad I did. I used it for my 4 yr old daughter’s Graco Nautilus car seat, which is a pretty big seat and is for children up to 65 lbs. It worked great.
I said I was not going to put anything heavy in with it, but I broke down and ended up stuffing several carry on bags and purses in there too until I checked the seat and it still held up, no problem. The airport even let me check it with a few things in there besides the seat…a rug for her grandma.
It was SO easy to get the seat in and out of which really surprised me. I almost had to lower the head support on the car seat to make it fit length wise, but I didn’t have to. Make sure the seat is sitting in the center of the bag and secure the seat with the straps attached inside the bag and you shouldn’t have trouble with it tipping over.
As with any luggage with wheels, this thing will take 50 pounds off your seat instantly when rolled, not carried of course! I highly recommend it for airport traveling.

This carrier made my recent trip from Alaska to New York MUCH easier. I researched various carseat carriers extensively and this was the best one I could find for my needs and price range. I don’t travel often so I didn’t want to spend a ton of money. But I did want to make my trip a little less stressful since I was traveling alone with my 2 and 6 yr olds. I have a Cosco Alpha Omega 3-in-1 which easily fit into the carrier. There was enough extra room for me to throw in my son’s Graco booster seat (not the highback type) and a few extra items. On our return trip I was also able to throw in a bunch of items which hadn’t fit in my suitcase, including 2 rather large super soaker-type water guns. I am very pleased with this carrier. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there was a small tear in it after our trip. Other than that, I am very happy with it and will definitely use it the next time we travel.
